Fragrant Alabaster
Tear stained heartache clouds my mind,
Unable to see His glory shine,
Living life thru wounds unkind,
Praying prayers of clearing sun,
Earnestly hoping healing rain has begun,
Seeking comfort in any way,
Sojourning along life’s narrow road,
Longing to hear the Master say,
“I have heard and heed the call,
Though troubles, trials, trenches and fires engulf you,
I am here and will not let you fall.
They will not hurt you or cause you harm,
But their binding ropes will to ash be singed from your arm.
For I have walked with you along that narrow road,
Ensuring each step,
Only I know the plans I have for you,
And I, with great certainty of completion, will see them all thru.
Know my dear child, not a day goes by me,
That you are not far from where my eye can see,
For if my eye is on the sparrow,
Of how much more value are you,
Whom I have chosen and called from birth,
And though, at times, you think that you can not see it,
You are bathed in my glory light,
For it fills the whole earth.
My seal is upon you now,
Your soul is made whole,
The golden pipes unclenched,
Grace released,
Mountains made flat,
Rest in my peace,
Be Still and Know,
That I AM God –
Who has come to make all things new.
For I so loved the whole world,
For I so loved YOU.”
And at once, loud and clear, I hear my Master,
His Words echoing deep within,
Opening my eyes to see,
His glory shining bright,
And right before me stood –
With arms outstretched –
Clothed all in white-
My Lord Jesus with tears of happiness,
And an inviting smile-
This King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Teacher, Raboni, and Master-
Embracing this precious child and her prized possession of Fragrant Alabaster.
