Snowflakes

Snowflakes

Individual soldiers,
Uniquely crafted and designed,
With warming breath,
Their frosty hearts,
And frozen minds,
Unwind.
Rigid in appearance,
Captivating they form.
Alone they seem small,
Without pomp and circumstance,
United they stand,
Together they cover,
Divided they fall,
As if to hover,
Just above the terra, they float,
Gently steering this crystal boat.
Cold and chilling to the touch,
They very well may be,
Their powers,
However,
Abound,
To drive out misery.
He created each one,
He created all,
For joyous praise,
And dance of pleasure.
Some retain them,
As if discovering buried treasure.
Yet their life is short,
Not long for this earth,
And though they may fade,
As if to pass away,
They will return anew,
A timely rebirth.
For their time away,
Their absence,
A fondness it creates,
For us to resume in unbridled joy,
Until Christmas once again returns,
They impatiently wait,
As they did long ago,
For the birth of a babe in that new fallen snow.
That humbled baby boy,
Who once held heaven’s seat,
He still holds today,
This Master and Commander,
A lost world came to save.
Each one reminds us of His love first given,
The Reason for the Season,
Our reason for living,
And of our own uniqueness,
Prayer Warriors,
Solitude Apart,
But also of our journey together,
United in His heart.
To sorrow their passing,
A brief night is all,
Rejoice old and newly fallen,
With each sunrise that rises,
Eternity to call,
Let it snow,
Dear Jesus,
Let each fragile flake fall,
Warm us with each life giving breath,
As we safely land,
Far from the grip of death,
Heaven our home,
Eternity to call,
As one by one,
With Sonrise we say,
“Forever we praise you,”
Each day,
Is Christmas,
Each day,
Is Resurrection Day!

"That's What Christmas is All About."

Just a reminder to everyone to have a Charlie Brown, Peanuts, moment this Christmas because as Linus said it best, "That's what Christmas is all about Charlie Brown."  Let's all have our revelation, our Charlie Brown moment, of Grace wrapped in swaddling clothes, growing, maturing, loving, performing miracles, giving life and restoring us all to life again.   Because folks, "That's what Christmas is all about."  Merry Christmas!

Blessed with Hot Water Again...Praise Jesus!

Hey all, just a quick update in the midst of a busy holiday season...we are back in the heat of things again.  We have been blessed with good friends who helped us get a hot water tank.  Praise the Lord!  You never know what your missing until its gone. Thanks for all your prayers!  God Bless You!

Sincerely,
Marlena

Hot Water Tank Woes...

Hello all, so sorry to not have written in a while but the loss of my dog really through me for a loop and there just have been all kinds of issues.  Right now, my family and I have the hot water tank woes. So this Thanksgiving holiday should be a lot of fun.  :-)  But the Word of God states that we should be thankful in all things, NOT FOR BUT IN ALL THINGS, because the LORD God Almighty is with us.  He is Emmanuel and He is with us. So we are thankful for Jesus's presence as we await His provision. In this holiday season, with all  of the hussel and bussel, never forget His presence and wrap yourselves in His peace, His Comfort and Joy!

God Bless You!

R.I.P. Brutus, my baby. He was laid to rest today. We had to have him put to sleep. He couldn't stand up and he had not control over bodily functions. He will be deeply missed. I used to sing him this song from the time I got him until his very last breath today. It is sung to the tune of the "My Buddy," commercials (if you are old enough to remember those dolls and commercials)...

My Bruty,
My Bruty,
Wherever I go, He likes to go.
My Bruty,
My Bruty,
My Bruty and Me.

I love you Bubba.

Thirty One

Hello everyone, I am currently having a ThirtyOne party via Book Orders/Online Orders. The website that you use is http://www.mythirtyone.com/29590. You go to the "Place an Order" link at the top of the page, and then click on my name, and then shop now, and then shop now again and I will get credit for the order. It is a wonderful company who based their name on Proverbs 31, the Virtuous Woman proverb. They sell everything from purses to organizers to picnic and lunch items. There is even a line of products for men from money clips to lap top cases. I do hope you will check it out. Or, if you would like to see a book and are nearby give me a call. Also, if you are interested in having a party yourself (a good way to get many of the items you want) let me know as well. Thanks so much and happy shopping. :)

Tenth Anniversary of 9/11: We Will Never Forget

Tenth Anniversary of 9/11: We Will Never Forget

Waking, walking, winding,
Ever so slowly,
My way downstairs.
I hear voices talking,
Describing,
Discussing,
What my heart could hardly bare.
Shocked,
And awed,
At the screaming, scary scenes taking place before me.
Unsure,
Unanswered,
Questions,
At what my eyes could see.
One,
Then two,
Then three,
Then four,
Oh,
Dear God,
Please,
Don’t let there be,
Any more.
Terror,
Now fear,
Of what has,
And,
Would become,
Of those,
I love,
And hold most dear.
Story,
After story,
Year,
After,
Year,
It seems,
That,
Once again,
Yesterday,
Is,
Here.
NO!
History has not,
Repeated its tale.
But,
Memory is,
Strong,
Lives lost,
Live on,
In hearts,
On minds,
Fresh starts,
Pasts rewind.
Ten years now gone,
Though the day is fresh,
We love,
We miss,
We hold on still yet.
In honor,
In hope,
In momentous strength,
In united inspiration,
America tried,
America true,
America old,
America new,
The battles still rage,
The war far from won,
Fresh soldier,
Citizen proud,
Police officers, Firemen, Rescuers and Homecoming Vet,
We honor all still yet.
America,
We,
Will,
Never,
Forget!

Antidote to the Curse

Antidote to the Curse

Is there no justice left for me?
Or am I doomed to be,
An Object,
Of Your Misery?
What once I thought,
No longer holds true,
For anyone in ear shot,
Of the venom you spew.
You slither and slide,
A friend to pretend,
Your fangs you hide,
Until the bitter end.
And as I lay defeated and hurt,
A smile you show,
As at my door you offer a shirt.
Aware now of your true I. D. -
I feel Christ strengthen me.
I am not defeated,
Nor am I like you.
On my throne I stay seated,
For in Christ I hold my value.
It is His grace I offer,
Never my own.
While you may be surrounded,
Know, that neither I, am alone.
A venom proof armor,
Dressed,
Am I in.
I look at His righteousness,
And not your or my sin.
I follow the example of my Father,
My friend,
For it is through the eyes of love,
I now see,
Not only you,
But most importantly,
ME.
So spew your venom,
Shed your skin,
But be cautious, though, dear Sister,
Of His mighty wind,
And Healing Rain,
That blows back,
Erasing the stench and stain,
For where your Judgment and Law,
Hurt and Pain,
Now reside,
His grace grows and expands,
As you slither and hide.
I will pray for you dear Sister,
But that is where it ends,
For I now love from a distance,
Christ, the only True Friend.
He will guide and direct me,
To those I can trust,
And, I will leave you to your wonder lust.
Forgiveness I give,
My memory strong,
My life is mine and His alone,
Your focus now forced,
Not on mine,
But your own.

Circle of Trust

Everlasting, Encompassed, Encircled,
We stand,
Unsure, restless, wavering,
Steadied by the Master's hand.
He wraps us round
with warmth and love.
He floods us with freedom,
His Spirit,
His bond.
Faith our invitation,
Grace,
He is our salvation.
He calls us to the center,
His focus undeterred,
Compassion, Healer, Provider,
We are made whole,
Righteousness,
Perfection,
He mirrors our soul,
We reflect His glory,
We stand in His presence,
He created the circle,
He emptied it out,
From it a rock,
We stand,
To fill up His circle again.
In His presence, Always in His presence,
Everlasting, Encompasses, Encircled.
Trust,
Jesus Christ Our Righteousness.

Update...

Happy 4th of July Everyone!  I pray that you had a safe and blessed holiday.  I wanted to update you on my recovery process.  The carpal tunnel surgery went well and recovery is coming along just fine.  There is still a lot of tenderness and I will not be able to lift anything for quite some time.  I can not say for sure if the surgery corrected the carpal tunnel but I am believing it had to help.  I am able to at least type, somewhat and write but my wrist usually begins to hurt and I am able to do so for very long periods of time.  I want you to know that I love and am praying for each one, for their is great power in prayer.  Enjoy the rest of your week and God Bless!

I trust that you all are doing well and I will be praying for you. As soon as I can post and let you all know how I am doing I will. May you feel His warmth around you, His love deep within you and His Spirit flow through you.  In the Wonderful Name of Christ Jesus, Amen.

Happy Mother's Day!!

Happy Mother's Day to all you mom's out there!!!  Having a mother's heart is no easy task, a lot of work and a lot of grief, but through it all, a mother's heart is a replica of the heart of God, having always room for more and having an overflow of love to give to all. I praise Jesus for all you mom's and know that even though the fall of man came through a woman, a mother, His restoration for mankind also came through a woman, a mother.  The most important thing a mother does, out of all, is pray.  The prayer of a mother, I believe is heard through out the heavens and acted upon immediately before the words ever leave her lips.  Again, I praise Jesus for mothers, especially for my mom.  May He bless each one, encourage, and uplift, make His face to shine upon you and His overflow to spill on and into your heart and may His grace and presence ever rest upon you.  In Jesus Name, Amen.

And to all of you "fill in" moms, as I too am one of you, I pray the same for you.  For, even though, you may not have carried a child from conception, you have a mother's heart and know many of the same feelings and hurts, blessings and grace of a mother.  He sees and cares about you too and loves you just as much.  I praise Jesus for you, for when birth mother's are unable to care, you are there.  Thank-you.

Happy Mother's Day to all!!  You are loved!  You are greatly blessed, highly favored and deeply loved. :)

He is King of kings, LORD of lords, His name is JESUS and HE is the Lion of Judah. The Word of God declares that Satan goes about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour, but JESUS is the Lion of Judah, who guards and protects, who rules, who loves, who does not seek to devour but seek to save. You see, Satan is a non-creative being. He can only mimic or mock what God does and if he does that it will be in a most perverse and disgusting, negative way. Look at this painting of a lion that I retrieved from Facebook, which is available for download. You can just see Jesus, can't you. I have to admit that there has always been something about lions that I have loved, not until most recently has that truly begun to hit home as I have began to gain a greater understanding of just who Jesus is and what His grace is all about. Now, I don't know all there is to know but each day He shows and teaches me a bit more. Praise Jesus! I guess you could say that it is time for us all to make a decision - Are we going to be prey for the "Look-a-like lion," or are we going to be the little children that lay down with the lion and the lamb, "The Lion of Judah." Now, I hate to borrow from Coke-a-Cola, especially being a devout Pepsi drinker but "There ain't nothing like the real thing." Hallelujah!

R. I. P. Max'a Million, We love ya and will miss you most dearly.

R.I.P. Max'a Million, my kitty became sick all of the sudden on Saturday, was taken to the Vet's Monday morning and was put to sleep Monday afternoon at 4:30pm. The Vet had done tests on him that afternoon and found out that he had cancer, a tumor that was blocking function in his abdomen, liver, etc. We will miss him greatly. We love ya' Max. :)

"Hosanna, Hosanna, Blessed is He Who Comes in the Name of the Lord."

Hello everyone, I know it has been sometime since I have written but as is typical of life, it happens while you are making other plans. Today I recently found out that my cat may possibly have cancer and I will know more after the Vet does some tests.  So, please pray for my kitty, Max.  Among many other things, this was something out of the blue with no warning indicators, at least none that we knew were warning indicators.  I also have been running back and forth to various doctor's appointments,  Life is nothing if not interesting, :)
And of course, the Easter Season is upon us and it is a time, for most Christians, for deep reflection and celebration.  Over 2000 years ago, Jesus Christ, God in the form of man, willing went to the cross and died for our sins, "No greater love hath any man...," and then three days later, His father, Our God, raised Him to life, in order that we too may be raised to life in Him.  Easter is more than bunnies and candy, more than chicks and jelly beans, it is the very reason for our existence.  "We live and move and have our being in Christ."

So as you sit in the newness of Spring and think about your life and the fresh starts and new beginnings ahead, remember who it is that gives you those fresh starts and new beginnings, Jesus Christ.
So, lift your voices high, and cry aloud, "Hosanna, Hosanna, Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord." No matter the struggles in life that you may be facing right now or how alone you might be because of them, remember that He is always with you for upon His birth the angel of the Lord appeared to Mary and told Mary that she would have a son and His name would be Emmanuel, which means "God with us."  Christ promised us that He would never leave us nor forsake us, and He is not a God that He should lie or act contrary to His Word.
"Hosanna, Hosanna, Blessed is He Who Comes In the Name of the Lord."

Prayers for Japan

Hello everyone, I pray that your days are going well and that the Lord's blessing is upon you as He makes His face to shine upon you. I am writing today out of concern for Japan and those who have lost loved ones, those still not found and those injured and hurting. I am asking that we all take a moment out of each day to say a prayer for Japan, especially considering the latest concern over the nuclear power plants.
"Father God, we approach Your Throne of Grace, with boldness and with confidence that you hear our prayers and discern our thoughts from afar, knowing that our answer to our prayers is already on its way before these prayers have even left our lips or finger tips. Lord, we thank You for Your compassion and mercy, we thank you that you hold the Japanese people at a very high regard and at the very center of your heart. We thank you that even now you are already at work on their behalf. We ask you to cool down the nuclear power plants, to speak to the oceans and calm the raging waters, to aid in the search and rescue efforts, to heal, to bring peace and comfort and to recede the waters, still the shaking and bring stillness to Japan. Jesus bring about healing and restoration as only you can. Send your ministers and angels to Japan in great multitudes and increase your presence there. We love you Jesus and know that you consider the people of Japan precious and hold them securely in your arms. You have collected their every tear and they have not suffered alone, that even there you are with them in this time of great trouble. Thank you Jesus that you never leave us nor forsake us. We ask all these things in your name Jesus. Amen."
There are some that say these are the beginning of the "birth pains" that are talked about in the book of Matthew, and I believe that Christ will soon return for His bride. If you or someone you know is unaware of the grace of Jesus, then please let them know. He became mortal so that we could become immortal, he died on a cross over 2000 years ago so that we could have eternal life, He cried "My God, My God," so that we could cry "Abba Father," He relinquished all He had in heaven so that we could become joint heirs with Him, He became sin so that we could become the righteousness of God, and as He is, so are we in this world. It has nothing to do with what we do but everything to do with who He is, He is Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God.
It is so great to be part of the family of God and I hope that if you haven't done so already that you will join me because I can't wait to call you sister and brother.
God Bless!
In His Most Amazing Love and Grace,
Marlena

Sending a prayer out........

I was just sitting here watching Piers Morgan Tonight with Bret Michaels and was really enjoying the interview. Bret was talking about the medically horrific things that have happened to him and he began to discuss how he became diabetic at the young age of 6 years old and he is now 47. I, like Bret, became diabetic at a young age. I was 10 years old when I became diabetic and I am now 33. I have lived pretty much unscathed by the disease until last year, 2010 and interestingly enough, Bret's medical troubles began in 2010 as well - though seemingly unrelated to his diabetes, unlike mine. He found out while filming Celebrity Apprentice that his daughter was pre-diabetic and I can relate to the scare of that news. I really applaud Bret for bringing awareness to diabetes and as well, for doing all that he has done to find the cure and help those who are living with it, continue to live wonderful lives. However, as interviewers often do, out of the blue, Piers starts asking him about Charlie Sheen, who happens to be one of Bret's best friends. Now, I understand Charlie is the hot topic but think that instead of railroading him, gossiping about him, etc., or even seeking out what his friends are thinking. We need to send him our prayers because he needs that above anything else. So people like Charlie Sheen, Lyndsay Lohan, Paris Hilton or anyone else, family, friends, we need to pray and we need to just show them that we are here when they are ready. Prayer is the most powerful weapon we have in our arsenal and praying God's Word for these individuals is the super powerful weapon. It is time as Christians that we arm ourselves for the greatest battle of all, the battle for each individual soul, each individual life, for He does not wish for any to perish but for all to have everlasting, Zoe, God given in abundance, life.
In Jesus Name, We Pray, Amen.

Washington Cuts Funding For Well Needed Programs for the Poor

Now I know that there are many who do not want to consider themselves among the poor, myself included, but if you are making less than 40,000 dollars a year, guess what? You are among the poor. My family's income is less than 32, 000 dollars a year, and really, it is less than that. So, we take advantage of programs such as food pantries, mortgage assistance, and public assistance. Washington, in fact, the President, came on TV the other night and announced the dire straits of America's budget - so, there solution is to take it out on the poor, cut these programs. It wasn't the poor who created the banking mess, and what does Washington do, bail the banks out. It wasn't the poor who created the mess with the job market, it wasn't the poor who created the medical care situation. So, why is it that the poor are the ones who get punished? Now, when you want to go and get food, there may not be any. When the banks are about to foreclose on your home, there will be no help for you to get and you might end up in a homeless shelter, well, that is if they are still even open. Public assistance seems to be alright for now, but who knows how far Washington will go. There solution, bail out those who are making over 100,000 dollars a year and well, let the poor pay for their mistakes. I am starting to think that there was more to Katrina than a hurricane.
These facts are startling and alarming, and they are all the more reason that instead of letting our wallets dictate who we vote for, let the Word of God guide us in our voting. For He himself states that the wisdom of this world is foolish but the wisdom of God is a guiding light. Let's get illuminated and see the world for what it is and activate those Christ like minds.
Pray for America, pray for this world, pray for a great reveal of the glory of God for it fills the whole earth and is everywhere. Even there, the Lord God is with you. God Bless each one of you and I pray that His mercy overtakes you, His grace frees you, His kindness spurs you on and His presence envelops you as His love embraces you. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Peek-a-boo, I see you. Happy Valentine's Day Everyone! I am posting this a few days early because come Monday, I will be another year older, yes dear friends, Valentine's day is my birthday. Now you may think, who is this shallow, selfish person posting about her own birthday but, on the contrary, I am posting a Valentine's Day message for you.......
Please give my poem "His Perfect Design" another read as a Valentine's Day message for all you know. I believe that the Lord gave me this poem as a message not only to me but to everyone I love and care about and even those I do not know. This truly is a message of love for the broken hearted, the lonely and the down trodden. I pray that it uplifts you and reminds you of your one true and lasting love.
May His heart engulf you, His love surround you and His grace embrace you this Valentine's Day. For He truly is, "Jesus," and His love is the greatest love and there is none any greater. Rejoice!

Here We Go.....

Update - Steelers are the 2010 AFC Champs and are on their way to Dallas, TX for the Super Bowl. I wish them the very best and that they will do the same for their fans, their very best.
Go Steelers!!!!! Bring home number 7!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wave those terrible towels high once again - let's see a stadium full of yellow Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 6th. To quote Berry Benson from "Bee Movie" - " Black and Yellow, Hello!"

Let Me Be the One

Let Me Be the One

In a small upper room,

Full of laughter and of joy,

Gathered around a most bountiful table,

A miraculous moment was about to take place,

A man of humble birth,

Would soon pour out His Saving Grace,

A thought ran through another young man’s head,

Unaware that his Lord would soon be dead,

He had no knowledge that this work would soon be done,

All he could think, was, “Lord, let me be the one.”

Let me be the one to sit next to you,

Let me be the one to recline on your shoulder,

Let me be the one with the follow through,

Though I am not the older,

Let me be the one that you say “Son, here is your mother,”

Let me be the one, Jesus, with an effervescent spark,

Let me be the one that you say, “Mother, here is your son.”

Let me love God and love people,

For that’s the center of the mark,

Let me be the one who stands with you,

Let me be the one whom Peter questions,

Let me be the one, at the foot of the cross,

Let me be the one whose hope is never lost,

Let me be the one, Spirit filled for revelation,

Let me be the one, which does not aggrandize on sensation,

Let me be the one, who falls as though dead,

Let me be the one, that of him is said,

“If I want Him around until my return, what is that to you.”

Let me be the one whose faith is renewed,

Let me be the one of whom you look upon,

Let me be, Jesus, your beloved son.

Let me share with each passing breath,

Your life,

Your love,

Your death,

Your New Wine Resurrection,

Your eternal Restoration,

Let me be the one, Jesus,

In whom is established,

The Agape Love,

Of the God head.

So that on this day, I can say,

Jesus,

He’s Alive,

He is not dead,

His love is for you,

His love is for me,

I am His disciple,

The one He so loved,

But I am not alone,

For you, also, are on His mind and in His heart,

As He stands up His throne,

Look not at this world’s treasures,

But cast your eyes upon the One,

Whose goodness you cannot measure,

And call to Him,

Let me be the one, Jesus,

Let me be your beloved son,

Your beloved daughter,

Let me be the one,

To cry, “Abba Father,” in your throne room of grace,

Let me be the one to be knee to knee,

And, face to glorified face,

Let me be the one, Jesus,

That all will know you,

And on that day in glory,

You will know them too.

LET ME BE THE ONE.

Soon his thoughts brought him safely back,

To this magnificent display of Love inescapable,

Gathered with his brother’s around their Master’s table,

Sleepy from the new wine,

Blood divine,

Restfully near the Messiah’s place,

Unabashed, spiritually filled,

With the never ending flow of His saving Grace,

A last look into the Rabbi’s eyes,

Not to have his faith undone,

He heard deep down,

“John, my beloved, you are the one.”

His Perfect Design

His Perfect Design

She sat tired, weary and alone,

With tear stained eyes and a silenced telephone,

She couldn’t believe her ears,

That last call had confirmed all her faults and her fears,

With each word another crack and a break,

How much more of this pain could this daughter, this little girl, take?

Hurt by hurt, Piece by piece, she swept and she gathered,

Tired, weary, torn and tattered,

She wept as she swept, and swept as she wept,

What would she do with this heart, beat-less, battered, bruised and shattered,

Soon to be emptied, lifeless and void,

She searched for an app on her Verizon android,

No app could help, one so exhausted and confused,

“What if I just dumped it all,” she mused,

At that moment, the cell began to vibrate,

“Humph?” she murmured in a very irritated state,

She clicked view,

Still unsure of just what she should do,

“Come to me” read this very short text,

“Come to me” who sent this, what will be next?

Again, it began to hum,

Her mind, body, soul, and spirit, no longer numb,

She tingled and shook with fear and excitement,

She clicked view,

“Come to me, my daughter, I love you.”

Still not knowing just who it was at the other end,

Surely she thought, it must be a friend,

She searched out Facebook, Twitter and My Space,

And as she suspected, she knew neither a name nor a face,

In the contact information, the address and phone,

All she could find, was Jesus for name and Heaven for Home,

However, the subject line read “Cross,” and the text read “Salvation,”

A message that was sent without hesitation,

At once she knelt down with all pieces gathered,

She envisioned the One Truth that mattered,

He sat tall, He sat straight, with strength and with care,

She knelt down, with head held low, shameful and bare,

He lifted her chin,

And with eyes so wide, He began to grin,

“Daughter,” he said, “What do you have in your most tender hands?”

“My heart,” she said “Sir, do with it what you can?”

He grabbed each piece with distinction and with gentle touch,

She thought to herself, “Oh this guy’s too much,”

He knew her thoughts and He laughed to himself and, He said, to her chagrin,

“Do you not know who I AM child, I AM the Master Craftsman.”

At once she fell back; they thought she was dead,

“She is not dead, she only sleeps,” with calming voice in reassuring tone these words were said.

He took each piece and one by one placed them within her fragile frame,

Like an engineer or artist, He constructed each piece and each part,

And as if it were magic, Miraculously, He had recreated her heart,

Making the old new, this Master Weaver, new exactly what to do,

For He had made the one that she had,

He was devastated when it had gone bad,

When it was broken, battered and beaten,

He knew that she needed this “Come to Jesus Meetin’,”

He whispered so softly to this “Sleeping Beauty” lying at His feet,

“My child, wake up, there is someone that you need to meet,”

“My name is Jesus, your Savior and Friend,”

“My Lord, my Lord, my heart you did mend,”

So happy and joyous, so filled with His Spirit,

This fountain of Life welled up, her mortal body couldn’t contain it,

Her eternal soul and spirit, through divine intervention, let out their light and poured out the water,

Through those windows, called eyes, of this unsuspecting daughter,

He collected each one, as if in a bottle, which poured into the beautiful river rippling and flowing,

She wondered if, now, she should be going,

“No,” she thought, “I must repay Him with kindness and care,”

As she joyously cried, she let down her hair,

With gentle hand and humble, newly created, heart, she smiled, caressing His feet,

She washed and she dried, with focus and faith, with renewed spirit and mind,

She truly loved this man, who had been so gracious and kind,

Letting go of life, self and pride, she knelt even lower, at once laying down,

That Tierra of gold, that once given crown,

With joy and with compassion, He received her most priceless gift,

With tenderness and with love, her head he did lift,

“My child, my daughter, no greater gift could you have given your Father,”

“I thank you for coming my Way,” with heartfelt good-bye, He bid her His command,

“Love often, Love well, Love every man,”

With this she smiled, most beloved and rejoicing at her newness of function,

“Recalculating route,” her cell began to speak, “Make a right at the next junction,”

She was walking and walking when she came to a sign,

“Come to me, all you who are weary and I will give you rest that transcends time,”

It was in front of a building, with double doors and with steeple,

She went inside and their among the people,

Was this man, Her friend, Jesus, Her Lord,

He was, now, the only man whom she adored,

She knew she was in the right place, her heart leapt inside her,

For her heart knew, her friend and her Master,

For a creation always knows the touch of the Creator,

As it bends to His hand and bows to His voice,

In harmonious rhythm it begins to rejoice,

It leaps and it dances,

To the song in His smile which soothes and romances,

This tale must now come to an end,

But her story goes on in His larger plan,

Just as it does for you and for me,

Each thread He spins together, ever shaping the fabric of each beautiful life,

Ensuring the day when the groomsman embrace’s His wife,

Threads of grace, of love and of time,

He weaves and He weaves,

Till the day when all becomes clear and we witness His perfect design.

Please don’t toss out such a fragile creation, pick up the pieces and lay them at His feet, allow Him to recreate for you a new heart, that will not only beat, but that will leap and will dance, to the Creator’s sweet and soothing song of true romance. In honor of Valentine’s Day, please consider the broken hearted for that was where Jesus started. Happy Valentine’s Day! God Bless!

The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow

I had originally posted this on another page Bruce Marchiano and New Jesus Movie on Facebook, in response to a beautiful photo of SA children, orphaned, and living with AIDS. Marchiano Ministries has adopted the village within which these children live. They were smiling, how beautiful is the smile and love of a child. The Bible states that "a little child shall lead them," and I believe that this is not just a futuristic event but also a current event. In this post, I want to honor all children, young and old alike, from infant to elderly. For in our Father's eyes, we will always and forever be, still His babies. The posting is below and FYI, if you desire to contribute to these wonderful children please check out the page Christmas Shoes as well as the two already mentioned pages. May His love embrace you, may His mercy overtake you and may His joy elate you and may His strength uphold you as His rest cradles you.

I just watched the film on television today, Annie, also Broadway musical and comic strip about a little red haired orphaned girl who gets a fairy tale father, Daddy Warbucks. The whole time watching it I kept thinking that we are and were all orphans who were adopted into the family of Christ. God, our Father, Abba, is our "Daddy Warbucks," he has welcomed us and loved us and expects us to do the same. We were all lost, starving, naked, and ashamed and in a weekend, he took it all away and gave us our smiles. I am so blessed to see the smiles on these children's faces and long for the day when we are able to celebrate with our Daddy and fellow brothers and sisters in Christ just as they did at the end of Annie. Let's all help our Daddy out in his adoption of so many more, His heart is big and His house is large and His arms are open. Praise Jesus! Let's help make sure everyone is fully dressed because "You're never fully dressed without a smile," and just as sure as His joy comes in the morning, "The sun will come out tomorrow." Glory!

Off to Bed

Off to bed, to lay down this weary head. Sleep per chance to
dream and awaken to the rising sun's first beam. Ready to
embrace this new dawn, and rejoice in the day the Lord has
made, with glad heart and post slumber yawn. "Awake all
creation, awake nimble deer and gentle fawn. Pant for the
water
from His ever flowing stream, let it trickle down and from it
gleam."

Resolution

Resolution
As another year comes to a swift end
I can’t help but wonder
How the next one will fend
Will it flex and maneuver
bow to my will
Or will I again be disappointed by my own selfish fill
Have I learned nothing from those that have past?
Am I doomed to repeat them?
Or can I move forward without recast
How can one’s life feel so incomplete?
What should be seen as success looks more like defeat
Every right move feels more like a wrong turn
How do you follow the flame without being burned?
At last, I just close my eyes and let go of the wheel
I stop pretending I’m in control
And I start getting real
My Father’s hand will guide me
His light will lead the way
My life is far from over
As we near this New Year’s Day
I can look forward with excite
To a year paved with certainty and purpose divinely driven
It will be a time of His Precious Light
His Glory will out shine with all that He has given
Hope’s gentle glow will shine as a halo of Light
It warms as it comforts
Enlightening the darkness enveloping this harsh winter’s night
Worry not about the future
Regret not the past
Embrace the present
For it will not last
Let go of your struggles
Let fly your strife
Hold on to His Promises
For His Prayer is Your Life
It is time to step into the Shadow of His Wing
Let Go, Let God
Let the New Year Ring

Happy New Year 2011!

Wow, who would have thought that we would all be typing and writing, 2011? It is kind of funny, but do you know, when I was little I thought that by now we would all be like the Jetsons. We would be living in sky houses, driving flying cars, having dogs named Astro and robot maids named Rosie. However, as I am sure you very well know, that did not happen. Here we sit, grounded. It sure would have been fun - yet, how fun is in the eye of the beholder, I do have an heights issue, lol. Just think, though, when Christ returns for His church, we won't need flying cars or sky houses because we will be using heavenly transportation and moving into heavenly homes, far beyond earth and sky. I have a friend who always used to ask me what the "Rapture" was and why God needed to deliver us heavenward when he was just going to place us back on earth again and set up His kingdom. I would explain to her that Christ never sets foot on earth during the rapture, He simply lifts us up to meet Him in the air and when He actually comes back the second time, His second coming will be the time when He sets His foot down upon the mount of Olives and establishes the peaceable kingdom, and " a little child shall lead them." I would tell her that He is basically giving us a long vacation while He remodels our home and when we come back from vacation we will have the most awesome time ruling with Him. We can't even wrap our minds around what eternity with Him will be like but it will be awesome and I don't feel we will even have a concept of time because we will be eternal in Christ as He is eternal in the Father.
What a time that will be, what an eternity that will be. Until then we are here to open hearts to His love and His mercy, and His goodness and above all else, His grace. For His grace gives the Hope that does not disappoint, His love that does not alienate or isolate, His mercy that overtakes and His Spirit that leads and directs and His presence that surrounds.
So family and friends, with the new year comes new hope. Stand strong on His shoulders and be raised up to more than you could be. For in Christ we live and move and have our being. It is time to stop existing and to start living - reach up, fill up, reach out and pour out and then recycle. :) God Bless and may you have the most awesome and abundant year in Christ that you have ever had.
Please stop by the Marchiano Ministries websites and Facebook pages, click the links on this blog to see what is new. He loves you and so do I. Praise Jesus!
