A friend of mine who has her own blog, recently wrote on the action of "writing." I got to thinking about the film, Sister Act 2, in which
Whoopi Goldberg who portrayed a so-called nun/teacher in the film tells a young girl about a book she has read in which the author stated that "if you get up in the morning and can think of nothing else but being a writer, and writing, then you are a writer." Only in the film she used the analogy to describe the young girl's desire to sing. This line continually haunts and excites me as this is the gift I believe God gave me and while I may not be making millions of dollars doing it, in fact, right now, nothing at all - I still know that God has given me this gift and purpose in my life even if it means that I might have to work at
Wal-Mart for a bit,
LOL. I don't mind. He is moving in my life and has called me to be His child. I believe His leading into writing and Christian publishing and will wait upon His wisdom and guidance yet again. The one thing that people don't seem to understand is that I am committed to God, 100% and while they may not agree, He is the one I listen too. So, with all of that said, I was reminded of a poem that I had wrote titled "The Writer," thanks Lori, and I am posting that here. Enjoy and May His Love and Mercy richly bless you this day and make clear His way, plan and purpose for your life. He loves you and so do I. God Bless!
The Writer
She sits in her room,
Armed only with a paper and pen,
Writing away.
She writes poetry, songs and stories,
About all that she can,
Remember.
I mean after all,
That is the key, is it not?
Or could it be all that she’s forgot?
